Happy Pi(e) Day!
Today is Pi Day. It's to celebrate mathematics and the theory of pi (the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter).
However, at Homebaked, it's always a different kind of pie day every day, but we're talking the tasty pastry variety...
I mentioned last time about British Pie Week, and wanted to write about ours, so today seems like the right time!
We're very proud of our pies, and we're glad that you love them too.
Just look at some of the things from our Twitter:
El Scouse @elscouse · Mar 13
Can't ever knock a @HomebakedA pie
Matt Conwell @bedrock1972 · Mar 8
@HomebakedA gorgeous scouse pie as ever on match day
Helen Grimshaw @helgrimshaw · Mar 7
Wish I was going to watch Rovers play Liverpool tomorrow...just for the pies @HomebakedA really!
Our Scouse pies are a firm favourite, along with the Shankly.
We've had a few people ask why a steak, bacon and mushroom pie qualifies as a 'Shankly' pie - simply put, the man himself's favourite pie was just that!
On a similar note, thoughts are in the pipeline for a 'Legend' Pie, to celebrate a footballing event that's coming up.
I'll talk more about that when we know more ourselves!
I think what makes our pies so well-known and loved is because we do put a lot into them!
Home made, great ingredients and our own unique spin on favourite flavours.
While we do see a lot of them fly out the door on a match day, our pies are popular any day of the week, and we're thankful that you all enjoy them so much!
So, have a happy pi(e) day!
