Out Of The Blue

Today, Homebaked was at the Out Of The Blue festival in Everton park.
It was a sunny day filled with, well, a lot of interesting stuff, really!

We were there with two stalls – our bakery stall, selling our delicious pies, cakes and bread, manned by Pat and Cathy, and the CLT stall, manned by myself and Peter. There, we told people about our ‘Build Your Own High Street’ project and took down email addresses for the mailing list, as well as your memories of Anfield, and thoughts for the future.

It was a successful, and very fun day, all in all, but rather than drown you with words, I think I’ll let the photos do the majority of the talking this time!

Enjoy!

Our stalls were a hit – thank you everyone who came along!
We even ran out of cake and pies, for a short period…

But, as the sign says, they were restocked!

As well as Homebaked, there were plenty of other great local stalls to see, such as the Postcode Honey, Grow Wild, Larkin’s fresh fruits & vegetable stall, and the local police station stalls.

It wasn’t just us who were out and about to enjoy the day, too.
Quite by accident (ahem!), I ended up getting a lot of photographs of our four-legged friends who also enjoyed Out Of The Blue…

There was also a lot to see and do, such as arts and crafts stalls, live music and a tombola (on which I won a set of toy Trolls, so I was happy!)

Not to mention a lot of people showing their interest in Homebaked – both for our tasty wares, and for the work we are doing for the community.
It was an absolute pleasure meeting you all and hearing your wonderful stories and ideas!

Thanks for having us, Out Of The Blue Everton!

Cosy Homes Club: DIY Draughtproofing with Carbon Coop

We learnt that around 15% of heat loss is from draughts. There is a difference between draughts and ventilation as well: a draught is classed […]
