Flat above the bakery

With the support of Power to Change, Homebaked CLT was able to refurbish the flat above the bakery at 195 – 197 Oakfield Rd. This refurbishment included very importantly the replacement of the roof on the entire building.

The flat hadn’t been lived in for over 50 years, so the work needed was quite extensive.

The designs were developed by Architectural Emporium.

Homebaked CLT delivered a six month training programme for three young people from the area, in collaboration with Rotunda College.

The trainees worked together with builder and artist Paul Hardcombe and designer builder Nicholas Henninger on flat finishes and furniture, alongside elements for Homesquare.

The final outcome is now a beautiful shared flat for four people above the bakery – with a view of the kop!
